July = FUN!

July was jam-packed for us and we loved every minute of it!

July 4 Weekend:

Our friends from Columbus, Brian & Emily (and their 4 kiddos), were passing through town and we got to visit with them for a bit.  Also there were Mark & Anne and their little one.  It was a great reunion!!

Me and Baby A (Brian & Emily's youngest)

Brandon with Baby T (Mark & Anne's little guy)

After the reunion, we hit the road for The Boro to visit Scott & Alisha.

Here's Alisha at her bakery:

It wasn't quite open yet when we were there, but it is now!!  I'm so proud of her!

We also got to see Scott's new kindergarten classroom:

And of course, get some fun play time in with their little men, LC & LN:

We always have so much fun on our annual 4th of July visit with them!!!

We cut out of The Boro a little early so we could make it to Lville for my Dad's side of the family's annual picnic.

My Uncle & Aunt host the picnic and they go all out - complete with a water slide!  (That's Brandon going down head-first - what a dare devil).  ;)

Two of my cousins, Brandy & Jennifer and I.

The whole gang:
(Unfortunately not everyone could make it this year, but it's usually the only time all year our whole family is together).

June 18:

Brandon's first Home Brew!  He's really gotten into this new hobby.

June 20-21:

Breakfast in bed.  Seriously.  He *spoils* me!!!

After serving me breakfast in bed, Brandon got hard to work on pressure-washing the deck.

Here's several before & after shots - it was quite a difference!

Week of June 22-26:

I had the entire week off work!  I was bound and determined to get some things done at our house and to find some needed furniture.
My mom came in to help me some.
We painted the guest room.

During:
(here's mom taking a break from painting)

Semi-After:
(still have to hang stuff on the walls)

She also went furniture shopping with me.  We scoured the local Peddler's Mall & a couple used furniture stores.

I found this dresser that would become a TV Dresser for our bedroom - a Pinterest project I had seen ("after" pictures to come at some point):

Brandon's dresser in our bedroom (which looks more like it belongs in a kids room instead) needed to be replaced with something a little more grown up, so I was so excited when I found this awesome dresser to replace it:

Me and my Momma:

July 26-28 Weekend:

We spent the weekend in MKY visiting my brother's fam:

We planned this particular weekend so we could see several of the kids' events, including a play (Jungle Book) that my nephew (The Tank)  and niece (Goose) were both in (my nephew scored the leading role!):

And to watch a few baseball games my nephew played in:

And we got quality time with everyone too, including squishy time with Boo:

And chasing The Chief around the playground (he's on the move so much I didn't get a better picture than this of him all weekend!):

June = Overtime

Sigh.....my poor blog is so far behind.  I'm going to attempt over the next several weeks to get it back up to date through short, sweet and to-the-point posts.  Hang in there with me!

June was a bit of a blur for me.  I was working a lot of overtime at work, even bringing work home on occasion in the evenings and having to go into work on some weekends.  It was a little nuts, but I got through it.

But, between the bluriness, here's what happened for us in June:

June 1:

We painted the formal dining room in our house to turn it into an office instead (we're not extremely formal people and don't really need a formal dining room).

Here's the before:

During:

And after:
(well, mostly after.....there's still more to be done.  ie: hanging pictures, etc...)

Sometime in June:

Face-Timing with the fam - here's my Dad and The Chief:
(Chief doesn't talk on FaceTime much, just likes to watch and smile)

And Boo:
(she thought it was hilarious when I pretended to lick her ice cream through the phone)

A sweet rose from my Sweetie Pie for no reason.  :)

We got to do dinner with several sets of friends throughout the month.  However, this was the only picture I got with any of those friends!  (So unlike me).

June 22:

Mike & Shannon with us:

June 23:

At a family reunion with my Mamaw:

June 29:

Brandon's Dad, Jimmy, turned 65, so it was par-tay time!

He got lots of fun "old person" presents, including these coke-bottle glasses!
So there ya go, short & sweet, but that was our June!!
