I spent the majority of this month coping with the effects of Postpartum Depression. There were times that I was okay and times that I couldn't stop crying. Brandon's mom stayed with us the entire month (going home on weekend's while my parents came in town -- they both still work while Bev is retired). I worked through thoughts and feelings, clung to my hope in the Lord, relied on family and friends for support and understanding, and slowly walked my way through the month. Like I said, there were okay/happy times among all the sadness and confusion that comes with PPD. But again, I'll write about this in depth a little later.

My Dad's Birthday
My Dad came in for a visit and brought along his Mom, my Mamaw to see Jedi for the first time (other than on Facetime)
We are a household divided.....which team will Jedi choose? He must choose wisely.
August 8-9, 2014:

August 16, 2014:
My other best friend, Shannon, her hubsband, Mike and their daughter, Baby D came in so we could get the babies together.
Baby D was born 3 weeks after Jedi (they were supposed to be 5 weeks apart, but Jedi was late and Baby D was early!). Since I was struggling still with PPD, having friends and family come to us was a God-send!

August 18, 2014:
Brandon broke his toe one night around 2am while carrying Jedi downstairs to feed him.
Ouch!! Thankfully, Jedi was not harmed in the mishap.
August 20, 2014:
I started counseling to help with my PPD
This little guy didn't even notice anything was wrong with Mommy. He just continued to breastfeed like a champ, grow like a weed, and brighten everyone's day!
August 21, 2014:
First date out since having Jedi.
We went to the Thursday Night Live function in downtown Lex.....
